Permanent full-time role | 40 hours per week including some evenings and weekends
This new mission co-ordinator role will be instrumental in providing mission support to parishes and other groups. The role will have a strong emphasis on developing and implementing initiatives in response to the outcomes identified from the Auckland Diocesan Youth Synod. In 2019 this will include implementation of Life Teen in up to six parishes and preparation and delivery of an Auckland Youth Festival.
Candidates interested in this position will be a responsible participant in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community. They will have:
- a tertiary qualification in religious education, theology, pastoral ministry or social work;
- a minimum of five years’ experience ministering to and with leaders of youth and/or young adult ministry (or equivalent experience);
- great communication skills;
- a clean (full) drivers licence.

Part-Time Contract Youth Worker Position
March – October 2019 | variable hours ranging 8 – 10 hours per week
This youth worker position will be instrumental in delivering programmes and events including faith formation, leadership development and implementation of Diocesan Youth Synod initiatives all of which seek to deepen relationship with God and draw young people into building up local community. This position will also provide some administrative support to encourage vocations in the Diocese.
Candidates interested in this position will be a responsible participant in the life mission and work of the Catholic faith community. They will have previous experience working with young people and delivering Catholic faith-based programmes. They will have a good working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office. Ideally, the candidate will have experience with video creation/editing, AV support and Photoshop. Previous experience working with young people of a variety of ethnicities would be an advantage.
