Through out the Auckland Youth Synod journey, young people have been asking for more opportunities for them to better understand their faith. The Auckland Diocese in response has purchased a trial subscription to the Life Teen Resources.
Life Teen is a movement within the Roman Catholic Church, Life Teen leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. The movement was launched as a parish-based youth ministry in Mesa, AZ focused on the Mass and gathering teens together at a Life Night. With over 1800+ parishes implementing Edge or Life Teen. It can also be found in 31 countries, including New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, China, Malaysia, The Philippines, East Africa, Uganda, Germany, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, England, and the Netherlands. You can read more on their website.
They have a lot of resources based on church teaching. Some of the topics include the Sacraments, the Church, Morality, Theology of the Body, Person of Christ, Social Justice and lots more. With access to these resources, you will never run out of content. To receive a login, please contact either Rochelle (rochelled@cda.org.nz) or Teresa (teresam@cda.org.nz) from the ACYM team.
Please note that we are trialling this subscription for this year only and if we are to continue subscribing in the future we may need to write a case for this. So particularly if you are finding this resource useful it is in your best interests to let us know that so that we have good data to show how many groups are using the resource.
