The Auckland Diocesan theme over the last two years has been ‘Young People, You Are the Church of Today’. This has been our way of accompanying young people as we journey through the Synod. In April 2019 Pope Francis released an ’ exhortation following the International Synod. You can find this online at:

Below you will find seven resources that speak to mission, discipleship, community, communication, leadership and vocation. The resources support our preparations the the Youth Synod in October 2018 and link to our pastoral plan Fit for Mission.

A journey: Auckland Diocesan Youth Synod

On Sunday 22 April 2018 a Diocesan Youth Synod was held at St Peter’s College from 1-6pm. Reports are being made on the Diocesan Youth Synod at Bishop’s Forums during May 2018. The initial report (which includes much of what was reported on at Bishop’s Forums) can be downloaded below:
